Adaptogen Pancakes
These pancakes are soft, fluffy and vegan. This recipe can easily be adapted to incorporate you favourite add ins: chocolate chips, blueberries, apple etc. Adding the adaptogen American ginseng adds even more nutritious to these already extremely healthy morning treat. American ginseng is the perfect addition to a healthy breakfast as it helps to boost the immune system, improve digesting and help relieve any inflammation in the stomach, making sure you feel amazing for your day ahead.
INGREDIENTS
- 1 cup almond milk
- 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup all purpose/whole wheat pastry flour
- 1 scoop Great Lakes Ginseng Powder
- 1 tbsp + 1 tsp baking powder
- 3 tbsp coconut or cane sugar
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp coconut oil for pan
- Preheat pan on medium heat and melt coconut oil
- Whisk together almond milk, vinegar and vanilla in bowl
- Add in dry ingredients (You can fold in any add in toppings at this time)
- Scoop batter onto heated pan; cook first side for around 2 minutes and then flip and cook for another minute or 2
- Serve warm with maple syrup or jam
